What is Ace Grace Place?
The Ace Grace Place is our new 3 bedroom holiday let on a beautiful holiday village in Filey near to Scarborough on the east coast.
The objective with Ace Grace place is to get to a point where we can let the families of children who have been through treatment to stay in the house free of charge for a well earned break. We are also talking to local businesses and amenities to hopefully extend their hospitality to the families during their stay.

What is the challenge?
In true Ace Grace fashion we thought it wouldn’t be much fun to simply open our new holiday house up for business! We thought we’d take on a mammoth walk from our house in Worsley, Manchester to the new house in Filey. This will be almost 120 miles in four days!

Day 1 – 30.0 miles – 23rd Sept
Home to Sowerby Bridge
We set off with anticipation for the journey to come! Our first leg sets the tone for the challenge meandering through Worsley, Bury then Rochdale before finishing at The Loose Goose in Sowerby Bridge…

Day 2 – 28.8 miles – 24th Sept
Sowerby to Wetherby
The walk gets more difficult as the gradients get steeper and the landscape more beautiful as we march our way to Wetherby. This leg will really make or break us!
A warm welcome at the Windmill Inn will await us with a bath, food & drink and a warm bed!

Day 3 – 29.8 miles – 25th Sept
Wetherby to Castle Howard
Another beast of a day! nearly 30 miles through beautiful, rolling countryside and national parks. There are some steep hills near the end too!
We also walk past the Yorvik Viking centre and Minster in York (and maybe stop in a nice pub!)

Day 4 – 29.4 miles – 26th Sept
Castle Howard to Ace Grace Place Filey!
Just one more day to get to Ace Grace Place. We’ll be tired, we’ll be sore, but as we get closer to our goal we know The Bay holiday park will be waiting for us and a lovely warm welcome at Ace Grace Place… Bring it on!!!
